TWIS #15

This week in science I made up work that I was missing. Me and my group did the marshmallow challenge. We still had the same materials from the beginning of the year. Lastly, we made a video for our 10th grade teachers. We went up in the roof to make our videos because the lighting is better there.

This week in science what I learned was how we can make the marshmallow challenge easier. When we did the marshmallow challenge we couldn't speak to each other which was hard to tell what to do. We did it again but speaking and it was better and faster and successful. I also learned how I grown in science. I thought I didn't grow in science at all. I saw my first video and now and there was a difference.

TWIS #13

If I were to add five more spiders in my spider's habitat tank I think there would be a lot of webs and the spiders would be more hunger. They would probably fight each other for food. The plants glucose makes the plant green. The plant gives oxygen to the spiders they would be inhaling more if they're five more spiders.

TWIS #12

What I did in science this week was played games on the computer of ecosystem. Then, we took a regents question packet. We also made booklets for my spider's ecosystem. We designed the cover of the booklet. We did Spider Observation Log Product in my booklet pages - 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. One thing Angel did is talk about spiders. One think Angel did is observatie the celler spider. On Friday we had a small party for Jamie because she was leaving so we did a goodbye party.

What I learned in science this week was how a ecosystem web and food chain work and how in order it goes. I had an aha moment when I was playing the game and saw which iilsturation was a decomposer, produers, consumer. I also learned how regents questions are and what it looks like. I think regents question is hard in some questions I barely knew what some words meant. Consumers are carnivores, and also most producers are herbivores. Also plants are producers which they make there own food and re-produce themselves. I  learned about energy pyramids and symbiotic relationships.

TWIS #11

This week in Science what I did was write in post-its about what we know of Ecosystem, Plant cell, Carbon cycle, Food chain, etc. Then, we went out to Seward Park and took pictures that are important to the ecosystem. We digged and looked for some insects for our tank. I picked some leaves too. I did the research questions. Then, I search some more things about the cellar spider. One thing Achantae did is take pictures. One thing Angel did is dig up bugs.

This week what I learned in science was what a Ecosystem is again. How a picture of an ecosystem looks like. What an ecosystem does or do. From drawing an illustration to see what I would need to make my spider feel like it's natural habitat. I found out what is important to the community park. what I think will be needed or important for my spider's tank. Another name for a cellar spider is "Daddy long legs". Cellar spiders live in the basements. The spider has 6-8 eyes and 8 eyes. Cellar spider comes from the family Pholcidae. The Pholcidae family is the most venom spiders in the world.

Human Impact Ad Campaign

This shows how pollution affects the world. In my pictures I'm trying to show how all the things could really affect us bad. And the other picture shows how airplanes polluting the air (clouds).

Energy and the Environment

I was reading the artical about Alien plants in Antarctica. I don't like this Alien plant because it can effect us and the climate. I wonder how did this Alien plant start? I also wonder can it affect us? Heartland Institute is bad.

This week in science #9

This week in science we had to dissect an animal and I had a perch, but I haven't dissected because I didn't feel well doing that. But I saw the inside parts of the perch. And my partner Ni took out the inside parts with Charles. We had to find out if it was a felmale or male. Mine was a male perch. Then I labled the pictures we took.

What I learned in science was where of the body of the animal we had to cut it up. I learned how to tell what kind of gender it is. Something i'm not sure about is how the inside parts are so confusing. I wonder why they smelled like that. I finally understand how to dissect.
